Bob Young built Geese Chasers — a Border Collie-powered geese removal business — entirely by accident, starting with one dog and one golf course owner desperate enough to wave a stuffed Border Collie on a broomstick at his fairways. That was 1999. Today GeeseChasers has 13 franchises, has never had a down year, and Bob created an entirely new industry. In this episode, we talk about how he recognized a real business in what started as just a fun way to exercise his dog, how he quit his day job in stages (not all at once), and what finally convinced him to go all in.
